Maryland must recognize out-of-state gay marriages, state attorney general says
Today, Maryland’s state attorney, Douglas Gansler, has said that state agencies must now recognize out-of-state same-sex marriages until the legislature or courts decide otherwise, according to the LA Times.
Gansler has stated that he expects the state’s highest court to rule that same-sex marriages in other states will become valid in Maryland. He says that the issue “will be ultimately resolved in the courts.”
